In memory of someone special
Frances passed away on Thursday May 8, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. Frances was an international level gymnast, and she always worked to maintain that physical edge that empowered her fight. Frances' medical staff were constantly amazed at what she was able to endure and how she was able to bounce back from each stage of treatment.
Please join Frances in fostering research that will help better understand the nature of this terrible disease. Frances was adamant that she would not put people out in having to travel all the way to the east coast of Australia just for her funeral. I know that many of you would have without question.
Let's honour her last wishes and her life by letting others know the messages associated with the Australian Cancer Research Foundation.
Frances touched so many people in all of the facets of her sporting and professional lives. Please share a special memory, photo or donation in commemoration of Frances' life through this page.
Please also visit Frances' webpage which is being changed to a virtual memorial & celebration of her life. There you will be able to interact with other friends and colleagues across the sports, industries, and professions that she became involved and or "embedded" in. It is hard to believe that she is not still with us.
Contributions made will go directly to ACRF, giving scientists access to the cutting-edge technology and equipment they need to find new and improved ways to prevent, detect and treat ALL types of cancer.
Click 'donate' to make a secure online contribution in memory of Frances. All donations over $2 are tax deductible and will help us achieve a world without cancer.
