How do I find my fundraising page?

You can search your name by using the “find a friend” search button or selecting “login” to have access to your fundraising page account. 

How do I reset my password?

If you can’t log in to your fundraising page, there may be an issue with your password. To reset your password, click on ‘Login’ and select ‘Forgot password’.  

Do I have to fundraise?

Yes please – every dollar you raise will go to Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) to help fund research that seeks to progress and transform the way we prevent, detect and treat all cancers.

What will the donations to my page go towards funding?

All donations will go toward funding research projects that push boundaries and blaze new trials.

To date ACRF has awarded 82 grants totalling over $174 million to 43 Australian research institutions.

From small vaccines to big machines, our funding has supported some of the greatest outcomes in cancer research across Australia.

What fundraising support can I expect?

We want your fundraising experience to be fun and rewarding.

Once you sign up for the challenge you can set up your online fundraising page and its super easy to share this with your network via email and social media.

We encourage you to join our Facebook group here, as it’s a great place to get support from our Fit40 in Feb community.

The ACRF team will also provide tips and ideas to ensure your fundraising is a success and you can reach out to us at any time if you have any questions.

How can people donate?

Ask your friends and family to donate directly to your fundraising page.

That way donations come to Australian Cancer Research Foundation automatically, and they will receive a tax receipt instantly.

If you’ve been given cash, you can donate the money to your fundraising page on their behalf using a credit or debit card.

Are donations tax deductible?

Yes, they are. An online receipt will be sent direct to your supporters email address once they donate to your fundraising page. They can show this receipt when filing their tax return. 

Can I thank my donors?

Absolutely. Once you sign up to Fit40 in Feb you’ll have a fundraising page account.  You can choose to send thank you messages directly from your dashboard by clicking ‘my donations’ and following the prompts.

How can I change my fundraising goal?

If you hit your fundraising target before 28 February, we'd love you to consider increasing your target and see just how far you can go with your fundraising. Simply log in to your fundraising page, click on ‘Edit My Page’ and update your fundraising target.   

Will I receive any incentives?

Of course!

When you raise your first $100, we’ll send you a ACRF Fitness Belt in appreciation of your support.  

When you raise $250, we'll reward you with an ACRF cap that you can wear with pride for your awesome fundraising efforts.

As an added incentive once you hit the fundraising mark of $100 and complete the challenge, you’ll automatically go in the draw to win one of 24 prizes from our prize pool. 

Prizes include 2 Garmin Vivo Smart 5 Fitness Tracker (RRP $229 each); 2 George Foreman Indoor Outdoor BBQ Grill (RRP $120 each), 10 Iconic Sport Gift Cards (RRP $50 each) and 10 GoodnessMe healthy boxes (RRP $30 each).

If/when you are eligible for your incentives, we will make sure your incentives are posted within a week of reaching your fundraising milestone – make sure you fill in all fields including your address when you register.

Australian Cancer Research Foundation’s Fit40 in Feb Challenge will provide incentives to eligible participants who hit fundraising targets during the challenge. To be eligible participants must: 

  • Register, set up a fundraising page and commence the challenge  
  • Have provided email, phone and mailing address as part of registration  
  • Be located in Australia 
  • Raise a minimum of $100 on your Fit40 in Feb challenge fundraising page and ACRF will mail out a ACRF Fitness Belt in appreciation of your support. 
  • Raise a minimum of $250 on your Fit40 in Feb challenge fundraising page and ACRF will reward you with an ACRF cap that you can wear with pride for your awesome fundraising efforts.  

Incentives are posted within a week of reaching the eligible fundraising milestone – make sure you fill in all fields including your phone, email and mailing address when you register. If it’s been longer than three weeks, please get in touch with the team via our Facebook group or via email fundraising@acrf.com.au   

How do I know if I have won a prize from the prize pool?

Winners will be contacted directly by email. Winners’ names will also be published on our Facebook Group and announced on social media and the Fit40 in Feb challenge web page.

Australian Cancer Research Foundation’s Fit40 in Feb Challenge selects random eligible participants at the end of the challenge (end of challenge is 12:00am midnight Australian Eastern Summer Time 28th February 2023) to win one of 24 prizes from our prize pool. To be eligible in the draw participants must have: 

  • Raised a minimum of $100 on their online fundraising page 
  • Complete the challenge* by midnight Australian Eastern Summer Time 28th February 2023.  
  • Have provided email, phone and mailing address as part of registration 
  • Be located in Australia 

Eligible fundraisers will be automatically placed in the random draw. The draw will be conducted on Wednesday, 1st March 2023.  

Winners will be notified directly by phone and email and all winners names will be posted on the community FB Group and on the Fit40 in Feb challenge website on Wednesday 1st March 2023.  

If no response is received within 2 weeks of the initial phone and email notification, the prize will be re-drawn. 

Fit40 in Feb’s Prize Pool includes: 

  • 2 Garmin Vivo Smart 5 Fitness Tracker (RRP $229 each)

What if I complete more or less than 40 minutes a day in February??

You are an ACRF superstar no matter what! Your physical and fundraising efforts as part of this challenge will help advance all areas of cancer research – prevention, detection, and treatment, plus you're making an investment in your own health – and what is more important than that?!

If I miss a day, can I do an extra 40 minutes on the following day to catch up?

Of course! You can even catch up on three days in one if you like – it’s up to you. You just need to complete the challenge which means 28 days x 40 mins activity = 1,120 minutes of activity for the month of February.
 

How do I track my progress on my fundraising page?

You can connect your Garmin/Strava/Fitbit to your page. That way, your progress will be added automatically to your page.

  1. Link your fundraising page to a fitness tracker or app:  
  • Download the Fitbit, Garmin or Strava app on your smartphone. After creating an account with your preferred app, login to your Fit40 in Feb account and head to the ‘My Fitness Activity’tab to connect to your fitness app.   
  • Please allow 24 hours for your activity to show up on your fundraising page.   
  1. Log it manually  
  • Log in to your online fundraising page and head to the ‘My Fitness Activity’to record your activity.  

 

Can I join a team?

You can join a team by clicking on the "Join us" button on their fundraising page.

Can I create a team after I’ve registered?

Yes. Log in to your fundraising page account and head to your dashboard. From here, select ‘create a team’ and follow the prompts.

Can I invite people to join my team?

Fitness is more fun when you can do it together. Here are the three best ways to invite family, friends and colleagues to join your team: 

  • Share your team page and ask people to sign up by clicking the ‘Join us’
  • On your team dashboard, select ‘my team’ and then ‘my team members’. Follow the prompts on this page to send people an email invite to join your team.
  • Go to the ‘share and invite’ section on your dashboard and follow the prompts.
